Numerical Modelling of the Light Source
Pavelka, Adam ; Koňas,, Petr (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with photometry units used in light engineering. There are defined the methods of modelling the illumination systems, their advantages, disadvantages and possibilities of using. Furthermore, the thesis deals with modelling of two illumination systems by ray-tracing in programming environment of MATLAB. The master’s thesis describes the analysis of the problem and the program designing process. Acquired model results are then compared with the real measurements of both illumination systems which allow the discussion of the results and the deviations of the models.
Measurement of Operational Parameters of Light Sources
Motyčka, Martin ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This semestral thesis is focused on description of operating parameters of light sources and their measurements. There are descripted light-technical, electrical and other parameters of light sources and methods of their measurements and evaluations. In tables there are ranges of fotometric quantities for most types of light sources. This thesis is also focused on functional explanation of photometric measuring instruments.
Inovating methods for color fidelity index evaluation of LED.
Novák, Filip ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is aimed to compare different methodologies of calculating color rendering indicators, because for modern light sources based on LED the traditional color rendering index Ra might be insufficient. The first part of this paper is based on explaining the basics, such as different methods of producing visible light, photometric quantities, or various CIE color spaces. The second and main part revolves around description of spectroradiometers, and calculation procedures for calculating color rendering indicators according to CIE 013.3-1995, CQS, IES TM-30-15, and CIE 224:2017. In the next chapter the mentioned indexes are then calculated for a given sample of light sources, and the results are subsequently evaluated.
A new concept of a light guide – 2K system
Filip, Vojtěch ; Pořízka, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
The paper target is design of a conceptual solution of a two-component light-guide with the use of available materials, commonly used for the production of headlamp components, emphasizing the simplicity of the whole solution. The result will be in production of a prototype and the subsequent testing of its functional parameters using standard equipment for the measurement of photometric quantities.
Design and construction of advanced LED lighting system for aquarium
Novák, Pavel ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Pavelka, Tomáš (advisor)
The first part of this thesis is devoted to the presentation of light and the basic quantities describing the light and its properties. These quantities are then used to describe the light sources, which is the thesis engaged in in the following section. The light sources are divided into thermal and luminescent. Then, there are described the basic parameters that are monitored when choosing the light source, such as luminous flux, color rendering index, correlated color temperature, mean lifetime, beam angle. Next, the thesis engages in solar radiation, spectrum of radiation, process and the color temperature of daylight and turns to the requirements for the aquarium lighting. According to the requirements for the aquarium lighting, the lighting design is done and it is sought an ideal solution for the aquarium lighting using LEDs. In conclusion of this thesis, there is designed an effective cooling for the LEDs in order to maintain their lifetime and luminous flux as long as possible. Then, it is designed and realized control of the LEDs by the pulse width modulation, prepared software for controlling the lighting depending on the daytime to meet the demands on the aquarium lighting while monitoring the process of the daylight and to look natural.
The simulation of influence of nonuniformity of the inner surface on the measured luminous flux in program Ansys SPEOS.
Winkler, Miroslav ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Motyčka, Martin (advisor)
Master‘s thesis deals with the principle of function and properties of integrating spheres and creating models of integrating spheres according to a real model located in light laboratory of faculty. The thesis starts with a summary of theory of photometric quantities, folowed by a chapter focusing on integrating spheres, their theory and design, following chapter deals with the implementation of integrating sphere models in ANSYS SPEOS program and the thesis ends with a summary of outcomes generated by the simulations and presents possible improvements to the current integrating sphere.
